Some iPhone snaps from our glorious four-day weekend. Captions below!
1
We ventured over to Ijburg to check out these floating houses I'm obsessed with. Then we stopped in to Espressofabriek for some muffins, lattes & magazine reading.
2
We took the train to Hilversum (the same town we work in!) for dinner with family friends. We were a little bored on the train, as you can see :)
3
We spent a day in The Hague with Jeanelle and her boyfriend Steven, who live there. We were very impressed by how quaint and clean it was. Will definitely be doing a full post on the city soon! This is a photo of the Peace Palace.

The sun decided to come out so we grabbed our bikes and cycled to Oud Zuid - a neighborhood we don't spend much time in - to sit outside and enjoy some snacks & a glass of wine. Afterward we met up with some friends at Barca for dinner & drinks! It was so much fun!

A leisurely brunch at Le Pain Quotidien never disappoints!
8
Grocery shopping at our favorite store, Marqt. It's the Whole Foods of the Netherlands - love!
9
Cycling home our groceries for the week (it's a short one as we're off to Italy on Thursday!).
{all photos taken with my iPhone & edited with VSCO Cam & Camera+}

Yay I love Marqt!! First time I went there, I was inside for 2 hours...oops. I've never been to Le Pain Quotidien but always wanted to go, their fresh breads always looks so yummy, the brunch is probably delicious :).
ReplyDeleteah, le pain is such a solid brunch spot - you've got to go!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree, Markt is fabulous. It just makes me feel closer to home for some reason. PAB & I gladly travel a bit further to shop there over our neighborhood grocers. And I secretly love how they don't accept cash - talk about forward thinkin'.

I just found your blog and I LOVE it! I am an expat (originally from Oregon although my Hubs and I lived in KY before we moved) and we live in Serbia now. We may move around Europe quite a bit with Hubby's job, and I love looking at your pics and getting trip ideas. I am new to the blogging world, but I am realizing that there is so much info out there. I love first hand accounts of trips through Europe. Thanks for sharing your life!
